I very rarely advertise my cake toppers in wedding magazines or publications. Most of my customers find me via the web. The only regular advertising I do is by listing my website with some of the popular online wedding supplier directories like Hitched.

Occasionally, I do get my name in print or even better a caketop photo!! The press cuttings below all came about by invitation or by chance. Of course, the best form of advertising by far is word of mouth! So for anyone who has recommended me - many thanks!!

City Magazine, Italy (October 2008)

City Magazine, October 2008

Dear Helen,

Back in April 2004 I got married in Positano, Italy and you made my very fantastic caketop. I am now living in Italy and commute to Milan everyday, so I make it a habit of reading the free tube magazine called City. This morning I opened up the paper to see an article on civil partnerships and a photo of your caketops!

Kind regards,
Francesca

Many thanks to Francesca for kindly sending this to me! Grazie!

Civil Partnerships, December 2005

In December 2005 civil partnerships were in the news. Wedding shows were taking place across the country catering for gay weddings.

Photographs of my caketops were used to illustrate stories in newspapers, online articles and TV news programmes.

Scottish Wedding Directory/Scottish Wedding Venues (Spring/Summer 2005)

Scottish Wedding Directory, Spring/Summer 2005

The Scottish Wedding Directory is published quarterly and describes itself as "the No.1 comprehensive guide to getting married in Scotland". It's certainly full of articles, ideas and glossy photographs!

Their website Scottish Wedding Directory is well worth a visit if you are planning a wedding in Scotland.

The cover of the Scottish Wedding Venues magazine shows one of my caketops on a wedding cake. The photograph was taken by Team Thomson Photography in Glasgow.

Many thanks to Team Thomson for allowing me to use some of their images on this site.

Sunday Post, "Trading Post" (5 June 2005)

Sunday Post, 5 June 2005

"If you'd like to track something down, or ask other readers a favour, write to us at Trading Post... "

On this occasion a reader was looking for a caketop for a Golden wedding, and the Trading Post suggested a caketop from Sunfish Handmade!

As well as caketops for wedding cakes, I make couples for anniversary years. I find that Silver (25), Ruby (40) and Golden (50) weddings are my most popular requests, but I am also occasionally asked for a Diamond wedding couple- a glorious 60 years wed!

Just like the wedding cake tops for new brides and grooms, the anniversary wedding couples can be personalised to suit the couple. The outfits can be personalised too, or the figures can be dressed in the anniversary theme colour. Visit the anniversary section in the photo gallery to see some examples.

Wedding Ideas (July 2004)

Wedding Ideas, July 2004

Published monthly, Wedding Ideas is a handy A5-sized magazine packed full of tips, hints and features to help you plan your wedding. One of its regular features is "6 of the best... ". In this issue the subject was cake toppers.

I was delighted to supply a photo of one of my caketops when asked by the editor. It joined some great ideas and images from other contributors:
